confidence of our fellow parent visitors to the site. we are committed to
maintaining the trust and confidence of all visitors to our web site.

Transparency is critical (unless it’s your shower curtain) so I’ve written
this Privacy Policy to clearly state when and why we collect personal
information, how it is used, and how we keep it secure.

Hey, I am a freak when it comes to my own online privacy and I extend
that freakiness to protecting yours as much as possible.

The Big Reveal: Affiliate Disclosure

Like most authority sites, SummerBeforeCollege.com features affiliate
links. Affiliate links send you to a website and if you happen to make a
purchase while at the website, Amazon or whichever affiliate it may be
(but mostly Amazon) will send me a gazillion dollars. No, it’s not a gazillion
dollars. But Amazon will compensate me in varying amounts depending on
a number of factors.

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Here is my bottom line on affiliate links and you can take these to the
bank:

  • Affiliate links help me keep the site running and provide a little
bump to our college expense fund.
  • Affiliate links never add any sort of cost or expense to your
    purchases.
  • The FCC requires that I tell you about the affiliate links.
  • The FCC does not require that I only link to legitimate products that
I or my family have used and honestly believe provide value to
others. But that is the way I operate. I am not going to stuff this site
with every possible affiliate link there is to try to squeeze as much
money as possible from SummerBeforeCollege. Not ever. I think that
is sleazy and I don’t like seeing that on sites I visit either.
